Darling Waste
Darling Waste began in Cleveland, Ohio. Chasing the dream to New York City, Darling Waste evolved into a 5-piece "mobile rock unit" and hit the road. After seven years, 500 DIY shows in 11 countries, & an incomprehensible number of miles & hours spent wearing out 10 vans, the band has built a fiercely loyal army of devoted fans. After selling close to 11,000 records without a record label or distribution, the industry has also taken note. The band's music has been featured on MTV, VH1, Showtime and Miramax distributed films, and has been played in rotation on over 100 radio stations internationally. These accomplishments are a direct result of Darling Waste spending years paying their dues: battling the elements, stints of homelessness, instrument thefts and broken hands, feet and jaws while playing self-booked tours of basements, VFW halls, and dimly lit clubs.

The release of Darling Waste's critically acclaimed 2009 album " I Am Born" saw the band nominated for a British Music Week Award & invited to the Brighton Music Awards, where they were co-presenters with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and Roger Daltrey of The Who. The single "Changing of the Seasons" became the band's biggest song to date, earning a spot in Alternative Addiction's Top 100 Romantic Singles of all time. Darling Waste's latest release "Good and Bad Angels", takes their signature blend of introspective, honest lyrics and piano-driven indie rock to new emotional heights. This emotional intensity can be heard in the album's singles, "When The Ball Drops (Or Nua Lang Syne)" and "Please Lie To Me", songs that show the members of Darling Waste are proud to wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Darling Waste's music and lyrics come across best during the band's dynamic live show where the line between artist and fan becomes blurred. It is this connection that manifests itself in fans bringing homemade shirts & signs to the concert or sharing a post show meal with the band. Dozens of fans have gone as far as having the bands logo tattooed on them as a sign of permanent devotion, proving there is no such thing as a casual Darling Waste fan. The band's working class mentality, dynamic live show, and fan connection have afforded Darling Waste opportunities to play several UK festivals and share the stage with Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Bayside, Dashboard Confessional, Yellowcard, Saves the Day, Something Corporate, Secondhand Serenade, Aiden, Kill Hannah, and many others.

The band's new album "Good and Bad Angels" is the follow up to 2009's critically acclaimed album "I Am Born", which was nominated for a British Music Week Award and had DARLING WASTE invited to the Brighton Music Awards where they co-presented with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and Roger Daltry of The Who.

True D.I.Y. road warriors, DARLING WASTE has played over 500 self booked and promoted shows in eleven countries and has shared the stage with FALL OUT BOY, PANIC AT THE DISCO, SECONDHAND SERENADE, CHIODOS, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, SAVES THE DAY, YELLOWCARD, BAYSIDE, AIDEN, KILL HANNAH, and countless others while selling over 9,000 albums by hand at their concerts.

DARLING WASTE has been described as an emotionally charged, acoustic and piano driven indie rock band with introspective, honest lyrics. Fans of DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, 30 SECONDS TO MARS and DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE will love DARLING WASTE.
